Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment/Special Education Advisory Council
This group of teachers, administrators, board members, and members of the community who study and advise on curriculum issues. A significant role of this committee has been in the design of the Iowa Core Implementation Plan and the planning of professional development to support the Core. This team meets regularly four times per year with sub-committees meeting as needed.
K-12 Vertical Teams
Groups of teachers and administrators who work through the curriculum cycle to implement new curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies. The seven-year curriculum cycle includes a study of best practices, piloting curriculum strategies, developing curriculum units, implementing the curriculum, monitoring implementation and evaluating the curriculum.
