FDCSD Kindergarten Enrollment Taking Place Now for 2017-18

February 15, 2017, Fort Dodge, IA-  Kindergarten enrollment for the 2017-18 year is taking place now at the Fort Dodge Community School District. A kindergarten enrollment parent meeting will take place at the Fort Dodge Middle School auditorium from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on March 23.  Current preschool students will take a field trip to a kindergarten classroom with their teachers and classmates later this spring.

Children must be five years of age by September 15, 2017, to be eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall.

Parents/guardians who have a child ready to enter kindergarten this fall should enroll their child using the online form located under NEWS at www.fdschools.org.  Parents/guardians may also call the registrar at the Central Administration Building at 574.5679 to enroll their child.  Once enrolled, parents/guardians will receive a packet of information and forms to complete and return to the parent meeting on March 23.

Transitional kindergarten (TK) is also an option for some students.  The district has space for 60 students in TK.  The TK open house will be on May 5. Parents/guardians should call the registrar at 574.5679 to place their child on the TK list.
