Course Description:
English Literature is a survey course, sampling the major works of England from the Anglo-Saxon to contemporary British writers. Providing a good background for college-bound students, English Literature demands intensive reading, critical analysis, and writing. This course will focus primarily on literature from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It explores the major writers and works of English literature, giving students an enjoyment and understanding of England’s rich literary environment.
