2022-23 Preschool Registration Opens December 1
Preschool registration for the 2022-23 school year opens December 1, 2021, at the Fort Dodge Community School District. Research shows children who attend preschool can gain skills that help prepare them for kindergarten and their learning journey.
“Our free, full day preschool at the Early Childhood Center helps children with the traditional learning of letters, numbers, shapes and colors,” said Dr. Steph Anderson, FDCSD Director of Elementary Education. “It also teaches them to follow directions, work cooperatively and socialize with other children and adults, and they gain confidence in themselves and what they can do.”
To be eligible to attend preschool in the fall of 2022, children must be four years old by September 15, 2022. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
To complete preschool registration for Fort Dodge Community School District preschool, please visit the FDCSD Central Office, 109 North 25th Street. Parents/guardians need to provide proof of guardianship (birth certificate, DHS documents, court documents, tax documents), proof of student’s age, immunization records and address verification when they complete preschool register. Central Office is open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will offer extended hours until 7:00 p.m. on December 1.
