Eight FDSH Students Selected to All-State Music Festival
October 24, 2016, Fort Dodge, IA- Twenty-eight band/vocal students from Fort Dodge Senior High recently auditioned for the 2016 Iowa High School Music Association’s All-State Music Festival. Eight Dodger vocalists were selected:
Hannah Amhof, senior - Soprano
Olyvia Selby, sophomore – Soprano
Gretta Leigh, senior – Alto
Dartangan Dohrn, junior - Tenor
Brayden Bell, junior - Tenor
Luke Durand, senior - Tenor
Eli Asay, junior – Bass
Andrea Blocker, senior – Alto (first alternate)
“All 28 students worked very hard to prepare for these auditions,” said Matt Drees, FDSH vocal instructor. “Being selected as an All-Stater is a huge accomplishment. I’m proud of all the students who auditioned and we are honored to have eight selected to participate in the festival.”
The students will perform at the All-State Music Festival on Saturday, November 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum in Ames. All seats for the concert are reserved and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Iowa State University Athletics Ticket Office. The performance will be broadcast over IPTV during the Thanksgiving weekend.
