FDMS Students Selected to Karl King Honor Band

January 7, 2019

January 7, 2019, Fort Dodge, IA-  Seven sixth and seventh grade students from Fort Dodge Middle School were selected for the 2019 Karl King Honor Band.  The Karl King Honor Band will perform Saturday, January 12, at 5 p.m. in the Saint Edmond gym.  The students will spend the day rehearsing with band students from other schools before presenting the concert that evening.

“The students are working hard to prepare the honor band music in a short period of time,” said Ryan Swedean, FDMS band instructor. “I am proud of the students selected for this honor. They will do a great job representing the Fort Dodge Middle School at this event and concert.”

Students representing Fort Dodge Middle School are:

7th Grade

Kyra Raymond - clarinet

Shelby Stein - flute

Grant Behrens - saxophone

Colton Hale - trumpet

6th Grade 

Grace Behrens - clarinet

Ella Champagne - saxophone

Trice Jakeman - trombone
