FDMS to Present "King Artie and the Knights of the Rad Table"

March 6, 2019

March 6, 2019, Fort Dodge, IA-  “King Artie and the Knights of the Rad Table,” the 7th and 8th grade musical, will be performed at 7:00 p.m. on March 14 and 15 in the Fort Dodge Middle School auditorium. Nearly 75 choir students are involved in the production.

In this adventure, Gwen and Artie are having a typical day until Merlin wakes up from a 1,500- year nap to sweep them away to the exhilarating days of chivalry. Not only is Artie majestically crowned king, but Gwen gets to meet the "to-die-for" Lancelot and the equally legendary "Knights of the Rectangular Table." When Artie is kidnapped by the evil Morgan La Fey, the newly crowned king's clumsy (but devoted!) knights set out on an unforgettable journey to rescue him.

“The middle school musical provides 7th and 8th grade students the chance to grow in a performance setting,” said Joan Ascherl, FDMS vocal instructor. “The event is a highlight for many middle school students and gives them an idea of what goes into a musical production prior to high school.”

Tickets may be purchased at using the search words "King Artie". Tickets may also be purchased the nights of the show beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the auditorium lobby.  The general admission tickets are $4 each.
