FDSH has Six Students Selected for All State Speech Festival

March 21, 2019, Fort Dodge, IA-  Fort Dodge Senior High’s speech team had a successful showing at the Individual State Speech Contest, qualifying six performances for the All State Speech Festival at the University of Northern Iowa on March 25.  Those selected for All State include:

• Grace Champagne with “Beginning, Middle and End” in Poetry
• Keziah Henkelman with “I Quit” in Poetry
• Collin Ellsbury with “Soliloquiy” in Solo Musical Theater
• Olyvia Selby with “This Place is Mine” in Solo Musical Theater
• Chloe Vinchattle with “Rose’s Turn” in Solo Musical Theater
• Josh Meier with “You Are Special” in Storytelling

They will join approximately 400 students from throughout Iowa at the All State Festival.

“I’m so proud of and excited for our students selected for All State,” said Lindey Krug, FDSH speech coach. “All State is the highest honor a speech student can achieve, will provide wonderful memories for these students, and is a great way to end the speech season.”
