FDSH Musicians Participate in State Large Group Music Festival

May 6, 2019, Fort Dodge, IA-  On May 4, students in the Fort Dodge Senior High music department participated in the State Large Group Music Festival held at Fort Dodge Middle School.  Seven Senior High large groups performed for judges throughout the day.  Results were as follows:

Division I Ratings

• Women’s Chorale
• Dodger Men’s Chorus
• Vox Femina
• A Cappella Choir
• Orchestra
• Wind Ensemble

Division III Rating

• Symphonic Band

“The Senior High music department had a tremendous day at State,” said Kim Wankum, FDSH vocal instructor.  “The students in all of our large groups worked incredibly hard preparing for contest.  All of the groups performed really well and we were thrilled to earn six division one ratings.”
