FDSH Successful at Individual District Speech Competition

March 1, 2019, Fort Dodge, IA- Fort Dodge Senior High students prepared 31 entries for the Iowa High School Speech Association District Individual Speech Contest held February 27 in Fort Dodge.  Twenty-five Fort Dodge Senior High performers received Division I ratings and will move on to the State Individual Speech Contest on March 9.  Receiving Division I ratings were:

  • Mackenzie Sharpe – Storytelling – “There’s an Alligator Under My Bed”

“The students did amazing,” speech coach Lindey Krug said.  “After all the time and effort they put into their performances, it’s rewarding to see our students achieve success.  I look forward to another great day at State competition.”
