FDSH Understanding Social Systems Haunted Hallow October 27

October 21, 2016

October 21, 2016, Fort Dodge, IA-  Members of the Fort Dodge Senior High Understanding Social Systems class are hosting a Haunted Hallow Thursday, October 27, from 7-10 p.m. at Senior High, 819 North 25th Street.  Admission is 2 non-perishable food items or a free will donation.  Proceeds will benefit the local homeless shelters in town.

Understanding Social Systems teacher, Todd Constable, said a civic action project is a requirement for the class.  The project allows students to work with other students and community members who have common interests.  He said he was pleased with how the students worked together and got involved.

“These kids are our future leaders so it’s important for them understand the need to help their community,” Constable said. “The kids really come together around this annual project.  It provides them a positive experience and opportunity to make a difference.”

Individuals wanting to experience the Haunted Hallow should park in the east lot at Senior High.  The Haunted Hallow is appropriate for students in 4th grade or higher. Admission is good for unlimited entries into the Haunted Hallow.
