Five FDSH Students Selected to All-State Music Festival
November 2, 2015, Fort Dodge, IA- Thirty students from Fort Dodge Senior High recently auditioned for the 2015 Iowa High School Music Association’s All-State Music Festival. Five Dodger musicians were selected as All-State Chorus representatives:
Hannah Amhof, junior - Soprano
Rebekah Henkelman, senior - Alto
Lucas Durand, junior - Tenor
Dartagnan Dohrn, sophomore - Tenor
Nick Sanford, senior - Bass
Andrea Blocker, a junior who sings Alto, was selected as a first alternate.
“Our students worked hard preparing their music for this audition,” said Matt Drees, Fort Dodge Senior High vocal instructor. “To be selected as an All-Stater is a huge accomplishment and we are honored to have so five students and an alternate chosen.”
The students will perform at the All-State Music Festival on Saturday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum in Ames. All seats for the concert are reserved and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Iowa State University Athletics Ticket Office. The performance will be broadcast over IPTV during the Thanksgiving weekend.
