Noon Sertoma Donates over $15,000 to FDCSD

December 18, 2018, Fort Dodge, IA-  The Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma club made a one-time $15,568.32 donation to the Fort Dodge Community School District to pay off the district’s lunch accounts with negative balances as of November 30, 2018.

Rick Lamoureux, President of Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma, said, “The group felt this donation was a way to help both the school and local families. It was an opportunity to make double the impact with our funds.”

According to Brandon Hansel, director of financial services for the school district, the donation brought 774 family lunch accounts back to a zero balance.

“Noon Sertoma’s donation helped over 1,000 Dodger students,” Hansel said. “We are grateful to the club for the generous gift to our schools.”
