Presidential Academic Excellence Awards to FDMS 8th Graders
May 16, 2014, Fort Dodge, IA- Forty-two eighth graders from Fort Dodge Middle School will receive the Presidential Academic Excellence Award for outstanding academic achievement. The academic honors awards program will be held Thursday, May 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fort Dodge Middle School auditorium. There will be a reception following the ceremony.
The Presidential Academic Excellence Award is earned by students who have met the necessary cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher during their 7th & 8th grade year or scored at the 85% or higher in both Math and Reading on the Iowa Assessments. This is the 21st year that Fort Dodge Middle School students have been recognized with this honor.
Students recognized this year include: Kira Alright, Hailey Anderson, Aaron Asay, Brayden Bell, Drew Bennett, Shivani Bhatt, Jeremy Brower, Riley Chansler, Michelle Chen, Courtney Cordle, Colton DeLanoit, Josephine Essing, Gabriella Estlund, Brienna Evans, Megan Fisher, Landon Getting, Rhiannon Gormally, Caitlin Grogan, Taylor Hartley, Charlotte Hirst, Rachel Joslin, Gina Kramer, Christian Lundberg, Hanna Marks, Natalie Martinson, Nicholas Martinson, Olivia Mitchell, Beth Murman, Kaden Pederson, Kody Richardson, Erin Rogers, Alaysha Ross, Nathan Scherff, Brody Teske, Raj Thakor, Julie Thompson, Breanna Tjebben, Elizabeth Van Zyl, Justin Vaughan, Hannah Wadle, Haley Waldera and Taylor Willer.
