Two FDMS Students Selected to Music & Middles Honor Band

Two Fort Dodge Middle School eighth grade students were selected for the 2023 Music & Middles Honor Band.  The Music & Middles Honor Band will perform Saturday, January 28 in Jewell.  Students will rehearse with band students from other schools before presenting the concert.

Students representing Fort Dodge Middle School are:

• Emily Hauswirth, 8^th Grade, Bass Clarinet
• Teagan Loots, 8^th Grade, Percussion

“I’m excited for Emily and Teagan to experience this honor band and to represent Fort Dodge Middle School,” said Tara Smith, FDMS band instructor. “The challenging music for the honor band not only helps develop them into even better musicians, but will also help them improve our band as a whole.”
