"When having a class with Ms. Whitehead, students are often intrigued and look forward to the class period. She provides guidance, knowledge and inspiration to her students to help them excel." - Lauren Hade, FDSH Junior
The recipe for educational success in the Fort Dodge Community School District is a dynamic learning environment, individual instruction, and a supportive and devoted staff. Staff members in all of our operations are dedicated to the care of our students, facilities, and community.
Our teachers are highly qualified and dedicated. The district takes pride in attracting and hiring the strongest candidates for open positions. 100 percent of our teachers are certified by the state of Iowa in their specific field, while nearly half hold a Master’s Degree in education, an indication of knowledge and expertise.
Teachers, at all grade levels, participate in professional development activities in order to continuously improve learning strategies. Educators in our district believe in differentiated instruction to accommodate the needs of the brightest students as well as those students in need of assistance.
We believe every student in our district can succeed.
"Not only is the band a big second family, but director Al Paulson pushes each and every student to the best of his or her ability." - Skyler Nielsen, FDSH Junior
