Mr. Erik Hoveland, Student Service Liason
Mr. Hoveland has been with the Fort Dodge Community School District for 18 years. Prior to joining Fort Dodge Senior High as the Student Services Liaison in 2015, Mr. Hoveland served the district as the Juvenile Court School Liaison from 2006 - 2015. Before that, he served as the Bridges Case Manager at Fair Oaks and Phillips Middle Schools from 2001-2006.
Prior to joining the Fort Dodge Community School District Mr. Hoveland worked as a residential floor supervisor serving adjudicated delinquent youth at Woodward Academy for three years. He provided group counseling, individual counseling, and staff training among other duties.
Mr. Hoveland holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a distributive double minor in sociology and psychology from Buena Vista University.
Mr. Hoveland is passionate about meeting the needs of children. He is dedicated to ensuring all students are provided the tools and resources they need to do well both in and out of school. His extensive experience working closely with families has shown his commitment to helping students and their families attain the life skills needed to be successful.
In his spare time, Mr. Hoveland enjoys shooting and editing audio video for his production company to help promote athletics and fundraisers for various schools.
