When Francis Scott Key wrote the “Star Spangled Banner” over 200 years ago, he called America, “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Those words are as true today as they were then. This Friday, November 8th we will be recognizing our Veterans with our 3rd Annual Veterans Day Assembly in the FDSH Gym beginning at 1:30 pm.
All Girls’ (9th through 12th grade) interested in Girls’ Basketball there will be a meeting and Open Gym Monday Night at 6 pm at the Auxiliary Gym. If you cannot make it you need to talk with Coach Foval in Room 23 by Monday so he can get your information before Practices start on Monday, November 11th.
The last ACT test for this calendar year is on December 14th. The deadline to register for the December ACT test is Friday, November 8th. Senior High's Test Center code is 196250. Register at act.org
No-Shave November canned food drive is on. Check out each of the participants posters of their unshaven faces outside their classroom or office. Students and staff vote for your favorite beard in the works by giving them a nonperishable food item. Whoever has collected the most by November 26 is our winner. All items collected by our participants will be donated to the FDSH food pantry. Contest ends November 26!

The DEWALT Trades Scholarship program is awarding up to five scholarships for $10,000 each to students and makers planning to pursue full-time study at a two-year college or vocational-technical school.
