TAP (Transition Alliance Program)
Fort Dodge Senior High and the Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Service are assisting young adults with their transition from high school to adulthood through a program called the Transitional Alliance Program (TAP). The number one goal of TAP is to help young adults in high school who are special education students of Fort Dodge acquire employment so they can live independently. TAP services are able to follow the student after graduation and until the age of 25.
TAP assists students with their employ-ability skills as well as their social skills, including things like financial literacy, online security, basic communication skills, interview skills, job specific training, and dealing with change.
