Middle School Industrial Technology students are gaining hands-on experience as they learn how to safely and accurately use scroll saws. As their first project on this machine, students are designing and fabricating custom keychains, allowing them to practice precision cutting, tool safety, and basic fabrication skills.
This introductory project helps build confidence while reinforcing important concepts such as measurement, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Students are excited to see their designs come to life as they continue developing practical, real-world skills in the Industrial Tech classroom.

Today, staff gathered at Cooper for a reunification exercise focused on student safety and emergency preparedness. Through this hands-on training, staff practiced a real-time plan designed to ensure students remain safe and accounted for while in our care and can be reunited with their families in an efficient and organized manner. Exercises like this help ensure our staff are prepared, informed, and ready to respond should an emergency arise.

We hope you had a great break, Dodgers! We're excited to see you back in class on Monday, January 5th!
