Jill will be teaching 4th Grade at Cooper Elementary
Jill is passionate about fostering a positive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged. Being a teacher gives her the opportunity to create a safe space for students to grow, express themselves, and develop confidence in their abilities. She finds great joy when students grasp a concept they previously struggled with. For Jill, being a teacher means being a facilitator of these moments, guiding students on their learning journey, and celebrating their achievements along the way.
What excites Jill most about teaching at Cooper Elementary is that her mom used to teach there and spent most of her career at the school. She feels like this is a full-circle moment and is excited to create her own memories, joys, and fun with her students!

Madison will be teaching Second grade at Duncombe Elementary.
During COVID, Madison saw how much her younger siblings were affected by having to do virtual school. She started helping them understand concepts and really enjoyed it. Before this, she had never considered teaching, but helping them sparked a passion she didn't know she had. Throughout her time in college, this passion began to grow, and she dreamt about creating a classroom where students know that they are important and that they matter. While academics are a huge priority in her classroom, she also loves adding life skills to her lessons.
Madison is very excited to get started with the students at Duncombe Elementary. She had the opportunity to include students in her interview and during her tour around the school. This provided her with valuable insights into the culture at Duncombe Elementary. Madison has also had the chance to meet the staff and administration and knows that as a first-year teacher, she will be supported every step of the way!
