Madison will be teaching Second grade at Duncombe Elementary.
During COVID, Madison saw how much her younger siblings were affected by having to do virtual school. She started helping them understand concepts and really enjoyed it. Before this, she had never considered teaching, but helping them sparked a passion she didn't know she had. Throughout her time in college, this passion began to grow, and she dreamt about creating a classroom where students know that they are important and that they matter. While academics are a huge priority in her classroom, she also loves adding life skills to her lessons.
Madison is very excited to get started with the students at Duncombe Elementary. She had the opportunity to include students in her interview and during her tour around the school. This provided her with valuable insights into the culture at Duncombe Elementary. Madison has also had the chance to meet the staff and administration and knows that as a first-year teacher, she will be supported every step of the way!

Ms. Gascho's students at Butler Elementary engaged in an activity focused on building relationships. One of their tasks involved getting to know the Butler staff. Throughout the day, Ms. Gascho sent small groups of students to interview staff members. Each group selected a staff member to interview, asked 3-5 questions, and then returned to write a summary about that person. After spring break, these summaries were posted in the hallway for students and staff to guess the identities of the staff members.

Work is progressing on the Dodger Stadium remodel, and the structure you can see being built will house concessions, coaches' offices, locker rooms for officials and athletes, and public restrooms.

Ms. Streeter's English 10B had a mock trial after reading Hamlet. The defense was trying to prove insanity, while the prosecution was trying to prove that Hamlet should be held responsible for his actions.
Both sides brought up witnesses. Gertrude, Claudius, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, Ophelia, Laertes, and Polonius were all in attendance to share their story on the stand.
Mrs. Liska's class joined to be the live jury. After both sides presented their case, the jury was sent off to deliberate. The jury determined that Hamlet should be held responsible for all of his crimes.
