Health Occupations students at the middle school with Mrs. Whittington are learning about concussions and the brain!
They really enjoyed using the concussion goggles and headset to experience what it might be like to see and hear with a concussion.
Students learned the signs and symptoms of a concussion, why brain safety is so important, and what steps to take if they suspect a concussion in themselves or others.

The Fort Dodge Dance Team is hosting a dance camp for students in PK–8th grade! Camp participants will learn fun routines, build dance skills, and gain confidence.

Middle School Industrial Technology students are gaining hands-on experience as they learn how to safely and accurately use scroll saws. As their first project on this machine, students are designing and fabricating custom keychains, allowing them to practice precision cutting, tool safety, and basic fabrication skills.

This introductory project helps build confidence while reinforcing important concepts such as measurement, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Students are excited to see their designs come to life as they continue developing practical, real-world skills in the Industrial Tech classroom.

The FDSH Band had the honor of performing at the Liberty Bowl Halftime Show in Nashville over New Year’s. They also participated in the Liberty Bowl Parade—and even the rain couldn’t stop their fun! The band performed jazz music inside Graceland, celebrated New Year’s Eve at Incredible Pizza, and capped off the trip by earning 1st Place in the Parade Competition!
