Huge congratulations to our FDSH HOSA students for an incredible performance at the Iowa HOSA State Leadership Conference in Des Moines this week, Izzam Mejia, Lily Kliegl, Karly Reynolds & Karlee Hamilton!
Out of 30 teams from across Iowa, our Dodgers secured an impressive 3rd Place finish in the Anatomage Tournament! 🧬 This high-tech competition tests speed and accuracy in virtual dissection and anatomy—and our students proved they are among the best of the best.🩺
Beyond the competition, these students:
🟥 Participated in a service project for the Ronald McDonald House.
⬛Attended professional healthcare workshops.
🟥Connected with future medical peers from all over the state.
We are so proud of how these students represented Fort Dodge Senior High. The future of healthcare is looking bright! ✨

From tiny hands to big dreams, ECC students shared what makes their school special, from fun activities to caring teachers and friends who make every day exciting. Their curiosity, joy, and big hearts remind us why public schools are so important.
Linda Portillo Lopez feels happy at the ECC because, "Learning makes me happy. I like puzzles. My favorite center is with Barbie's."
Waylen Egeland is so happy at the ECC because, "Everybody helps me."
Director of Preschool, Nicole Ahrens wants everyone to know why the ECC is so special. "What makes our school special is the joy you feel the moment you walk through the doors. It lives in our classrooms, at specials, and on the playground. Walk down the hall and you’ll be greeted with laughter, smiles, cheerful hellos—and often a hug. That genuine happiness reflects a community where students and staff love learning, love each other, and love being here."
ECC Prinicpal, Jeri Thompson Ayala expresses that, "Our school is special because every child is known, every adult is invested, and every day is filled with purpose and heart."

We asked students what makes Cooper such a special place , and their pride shines through. ❤️🖤
Terek Lawler is proud to share at Cooper "Everyone here is respected, and no one is treated differently and I get to see my friends and learn about stuff that I've never learned about before."
Charolette Fisher is very excited to be a student at Cooper because "She gets to spend time with my teachers and my friends!"
Principal Kate Simpson explains why Cooper is a special place, "What makes our school special is our kids!!! Also, the strength of our relationships and our belief that every child is uniquely valued. We intentionally teach and model empathy and inclusion so students learn to appreciate and respect differences. We work hard to make sure that every kid is known. I love that our adults take pride in knowing all of our kids and their families, to create a connection that lasts from the first year they come to us, all the way through until they leave us for the Middle School. Connection is highly important to us, and our kids are simply the best.
