Learning meets hands-on fun in Middle Health Occupations! Our students are building Effective Communication skills, practicing how to handle challenging situations, and using SBAR for healthcare reporting. They’re also exploring healthcare careers and getting real practice with skills like heart sounds and blood pressure checks—all through engaging role-play! ❤️🩺

Fort Dodge Middle School is receiving a $40,000 Giving Tuesday donation from National Gypsum to upgrade its Industrial Technology program for the 2025–2026 school year. The funds, contributed equally by the Quarry Plant and Gold Bond Plant, will modernize the Industrial Tech space to support Manufacturing, Robotics, Engineering, and Building Trades. A new industry-trained teacher will help deliver hands-on, real-world learning. This donation builds on National Gypsum’s previous $35,000 contribution in 2024 to create the school’s Health Occupations Lab. The district expresses deep gratitude for the company’s continued support of STEM and CTE learning.

Butler fifth graders wrapped up their Native American module with a memorable celebration! A guest speaker shared stories of his Pottawattamie heritage, and students enjoyed a feast featuring fruits, veggies, beef jerky, and other foods connected to Thunder Rolling in the Mountains. What an amazing learning experience!
