Back by popular demand! Friendship Haven residents returned to Cooper Elementary today. Last year's bond was so valuable that residents and students alike couldn't wait to reconnect this year. Ms. Rasmussen's class engaged in fun rounds of Uno and spent time getting to know each other. The goal is for the two groups to meet at least twice a month throughout the school year. 🔴⚫ #proud2bFD

Senora Hinders recently took 12 FDSH students who are members of the new club, "Mejor Juntos" (Better Together), to the Afro-Latino Festival at Iowa Central. This club was created to support students learning English, with plans to offer tutoring, translation assistance, and buddy systems, all while building meaningful relationships to help these students feel welcomed at school.
